Deteriorating Food Security.

The impact of climate change increasingly felt in hall comers of the wold. Floods, drought, cold and estreme sea level is increasing evidence that the impact of climate change is happening now. This situation has put human lives at risk threshold of destruction.
Climate change is affecting the severity of the linkages that affect the balance of natural ecosystems. One major impact of climate change is a global food security.
The phenomenon of global warming to be the cause of the increase in wold temperatures. As a result, the wold is populated increasingly hot and bothered human life. This situation has caused an imbalance in natural ecosystems. Climate models expect the increase in average global temperatures could occur at 1.1 – 6.4 degrees Celcius in the 21st century.
World food resources are produced mostly from agricultural activities will receive an impact. Planting of wheat, rice, maize cereals and vegetables has deteriorated with the occurrence of global warming. Food production in 2008 of rice was 668 million tones, wheat at 118 million metric tons of corn and 772 million metric tons.
Global warming has resulted in declining soil fertility. Soil conditions are dry and arid cause farms to be cultivated not. Global water crisis that occurred were caused water shortages. This  contributed to the problems of food production. Excessive heat will push the farm and forest fires.
This is their impact on world food production. The quantity of food produced less, while the quality produced was also effected. There are some plants can grow and develop properly due to lack of water supply for irrigation purpose. In some areas. Floods and hurricanes that hit the lead farm their crops are destroyed.
Conclusion,  global warming has indirectly affected the chain of wold food security. Among the food shortages will cause will cause an increase in the number of malnourished people.

How to prevent and mitigate global warming.

Scientific arguments of the scientists had proved the truth of global warming is imminent. No one can escape or avoid this situation. In this case, we need to ask what other people will do to save us. Never do we point finger to the government to act to prevent and control this situation. We are the best to act to slow down the process of global warming than to critical.
Among the measures that can be done is:
1) Planting trees
Planting trees contributed greatly to the stability of environmental pollution as they absorb some of carbon. However, in reality it also releases carbon dioxide when they die. However, it is a cool tool that is useful in the short term.

2) Purchase "Green Power".

Imagine if one day run out of fossil fuels occurs, what can we do? Thus, we turn to the better use of natural energy such as solar energy, geothermal (heat of the earth) and wind power. Many products now use this natural energy. Why do not we use it?

Maybe some people started moving to produce nuclear power and natural gas as artenatif for fossil energy. However, the effects of radiation also appears to affect thousands of years. In fact, the effect is more severe than coal and petroleum gas.
3) Buy recycled products.

Recyclable items are much cheaper than goods that are not recycled. Therefore, the cost can be saved and protected nature conservation. For example, the recycling of paper is one third cheaper than non-recycled.

HFC-134a refrigerant is more secure.

Number of four-wheeled vehicle users is increasing every year. Release statistics by the Ministry of Transport in 2008 shows that the number of vehicles on the road is 7,848,783 (cars), 63,604 (bass), 74,508 (taxi), 15,313 (self-drive hire cars), 900 354 (commercial vehicles), and 448559 (other vehicles, especially trucks).
All vehicles were equipped with air conditioner to reduce the effects of the hot equatorial climate with a temperature range of 29-34 degrees Celsius environment and air humidity 70-80 per cent (from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm).
However, the benefits and advantages of each man's creation is certainly no disadvantage. The motorists should use discretion and responsibility in addressing the destruction of the ozone layer.

This fact is supported by the study of Molina and Rowland in 1974, which shows that molecular chlorine from CFC-12 is a contributor to ozone depletion.

Development of new refrigerant is ozone-friendly, namely hydrofluorocarbons refrigerants such as HFC-134a has provided a new light to the vehicle air conditioners, especially in the Malaysia because it can replace existing CFC-12 which has been used since 1996.

EFFECT OF THE MOST BAD GUIDE TO GLOBAL WARMING

Greenhouse gases and global warming?

Greenhouse effect occurs when the composition of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide increased beyond normal levels.

When the composition is increased, the gas molecules that are storing heat, will trap heat and slow down the process of heat release.
Global greenhouse effect occurs when the sun's infrared radiation entering the earth's atmosphere are not adequately reflected by normal due to the greenhouse effect. This will lead to global warming occurs in stages, and areas experiencing severe pollution will have more severe effects.

What are the adverse effects on consumers?

The implications of global warming will cause ice at both poles of the earth will experience dilution and cause an increase in sea level. Withdrawal of ice will also cause the affected ecosystems. Increasing temperatures and changes in ecosystems will result in some species of life can not adapt to the environment and will die. Meanwhile, some species of life will start migrating to other places.

The climate in some areas will be disturbed and uncertain. Scientists forecast shows an increase of 7.0 meters above sea level, resulting in low areas such as Kuala Muda (Kedah) and Kelantan will be under water. Floods and storms will hit the uncertainties in many places and people around the coastal areas and low lying areas will experience the worst effects.

Besides global warming will also affect food production and food chain. This will result in shortage of food such as sugar and rice. In 2009, Malaysia has been experiencing shortages of sugar as the largest sugar producer in the world, Brazil and India have been experiencing drought and floods which caused damage their crops. This has caused supply shortages and price escalations.

What are the effects of climate change to the baby & children?

Children are more likely to risk their health due to exposure to extreme hot weather, water pollution, air and infection. This is due to their immunity levels are lower than adults.

How to consumers to help tackle climate change?

Among the methods to reduce the greenhouse effect is through energy conservation. If people can reduce vehicle use by many, namely the use of public transport, then the greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced.

These measures can be taken to reduce climate change?.

Use products with energy efficiency labels, such as refrigerators, television sets and air conditioners. If energy consumption can be reduced, natural resources are used for power generation can be reduced. Reduction in the use of natural resources will assist in the reduction of greenhouse gases and natural resources will also be to fetish.

Users also should eat moderately and not more than sufficient to avoid wastage of food?.

Use more public transport or car. In this way, emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere can be reduced.

Users will also be recycling to reduce waste disposal ?.

Avoid using products such as polisterena and plastics. This is because, polisterena and plastic will not decompose easily and takes a very long time. The accumulation of plastic waste polisterena and will lead to pollution.

Rising temperature in Indian Ocean may have caused Johor floods

Sunday January 21, 2007

BANGI: The warming of the Indian Ocean in the past 20 to 30 years – brought about by global warming – could have played a part in the unusual weather which caused flooding in Johor and other parts of Malaysia.
Climate expert Associate Prof Dr Fredolin Tangang said the rising temperature of the Indian Ocean, brought about by a series of events starting with the melting of ice in Greenland, could have caused the unusual and adverse weather conditions in South-East Asia.
An oceanographer based at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Dr Fredolin said the Indian Ocean was cooled by a natural phenomenon which oceanographers labelled the “Great Ocean Conveyor Belt.”
The “conveyor belt” allowed warm water from the Indian Ocean to flow to the Arctic waters near Greenland, where the heat was dispersed.
However, Dr Fredolin said melting ice caps in the Arctic region around Greenland due to global warming had caused the natural conveyor belt to slow down or even stop.
“Research shows that there is significant melting of ice in Greenland due to global warming.
“As a result, the salinity of the sea water has decreased,” he said in an interview.
As the water mass would be lighter, it was not able to sink, thus disturbing the natural progression of the conveyor belt.
“The conveyor belt would either be stopped or slowed down,” he added.
He said the present rising temperatures in the Indian Ocean could be associated with a weaker or absent “conveyor belt” while the area around Greenland would experience a drop in temperature.
“Cooling in the region near Greenland and warming in Indian Ocean is not a coincidence but a good indicator of a weaker or halted ocean conveyor belt,” he said.
He said if the cooling trend in the North Atlantic continued and grew bigger, Europe would eventually head for severe winter in the future.
“For the tropical regions, especially regions close to the Indian Ocean, more extreme and unusual weather occurrences and climate anomalies such as typhoons and cyclones will appear in the future,” he said.
He said he was currently studying recent climatic changes to explain what was happening to the country and would submit his report to the Government soon.

Global warming climate change and Southwest Monsoon

19 feb 2008

SARAWAK-At the past months  many people were concerned about Sahara weather because effects of global warming and climate change. The weather men reported by the borneo post online said what is being experienced now is the normal temperature of dry Southwest Monsoon Season.

Now thermometer do not show any change because readings around 30 celcius to 32 celcius are normal but during the dry spell can go higher when rain is difficult as during the hot season. After that, the Metrological Department director Wong Teck Keong has to said "the weather is hot but unnaturally hot.what experience
is the normal temperature of the Southwest Monsoon during the dry season.

Malaysian could experience temperature changes from 0.7 to 2.6 degree celcius and precipitation changes between minus 30 and 30 plus per cent this reported the agricultural sector in Malaysia said director Soil Resources Management and conversations Division Department of Agriculture Mustafa Kamal.

Malaysian is a tropical country,so "immediate effect could be seen in the amount of rainfall" said Wong Soon Koh Environment and Public Health Minister. At the last years increased rainfall and rainy days.Dr Pinggung Manggil is the Controller Environment of Quality Natural Resources and Environment board the caused by climate change to occur on by global warming was rising the temperature.

Pointing to the flooding and thypon-like winds and storms in Johor and Sarawak these were abouts signs of the on-set of global warming said Wong Soon Koh.The global warming also caused by increase in the concentration anthrogenic greenhouse gases was the most significant  carbon dioxide(CO2).

My opinion,  think the government must monitor the human activities that cause the country temperature was increase.we need to feel important to take care of the our country and need to have awareness on how to reduce global warming.

Malaysian Company says bio-fuel from nipah can help halt global warming

Tuesday April 10, 2007

KUALA LUMPUR:Today the new source of energy to replace fossil fuels was found by a company under Malaysian government. That new source is ethanol from nipah palm trees,it is believed can help stop global warming. The company has found a new source  Pioneer Bio Industries Corp where that company is building the world first refinery to produce ethanol from the short palm trees and that can get fuel for automobiles from the power plant.

The nipah palm sap can  make ethanol, which does not  produce the carbon emmisions cause the climate changing greenhouse and this new energy will  reduce the greenhouse effect and ozone depletion. The pioneer Chairman Badrul Shah Ahmad says "this is a new energy source to save the world to tackle global warming"  he told the reporters.

The nipah ethanol is not from these sources eats into production .It is a better alternative produced from palm trees and not sugarcane, corn, cascava and other plants.Badrul Shah said "replace the entire fossil fuel needs of the world" because it is enough to functionally 15 refiners for five years, and the  nipah palm trees are  growing in millions along the cast and Borneo island.

Conclusion,I think this is the best step to reduce global warming, and although it also can increase national income by selling the ethanol. This method also can reduce air pollution resulting from CO2 emissions of every car that normally uses petrol and causing human health affected
